[Second Breath]

Sounds like it certainly has potential Deshiel. I'd probably give the strings a little more space to soar. There seems to be a bit too much high end on the hihats.
This is a nice mix of symph and tech, I'll give you that.
I think with some more practice, this can be a great tune.

Good point. I did make this for a video game as well, and the developers wanted this tempo.

This is really good stuff. I can imagine a 2D side-scrolling game to this.

It opens up smoothly and quietly and immediately goes to a catchy beat. It does have a credits or finality feel to it, for a chiptune at least.

There are some elements to it that make it sound very modern, like the kick drum. It even sounds like you have some sidechain compression on the bass, which is a pretty neat touch.

And the fade-out is very neat, and reflective of a really good end to an 8-bit tune.

I really got not complaints about this. The melody's quite simple and memorable, with some variation here and there, and it's good enough to keep me focused on the music!

What did you use to make this? It really sounds as if you've extracted the audio chip from a NES, and put it in your computer or something!

Than you, people like you keep me coming to Newgrounds. I did infact use sidechain compression. I used Magic 8 Bit plugin for everything, including the kick, and Fami Synth for the saw lead. I like how you noticed that I used alot of modern mixing elements in this track. When I started making this song I felt that if I wanted it to sound good at all, I should treat this like I was making an EDM track. Thanks for the listen!
